Architect and Artist

From an early age I have been captivated by LIGHT and its relationship with shapes, colors, textures. Its contrast with the shadows allows me to discover the figure and volume of the spaces. The visual and sensory worlds are constant stimuli in my development, especially when I am in contact with nature.

Lidia León Cabral

She was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in 1962. From an early age she was captivated by shapes, colors, sound and movement, shadows, lights… During her adolescence she focused on photography. She was trained in black and white development in Massachusetts and color in the
Rochester Institute of Technology, in the state of New York.

In 1987 she obtained her architecture degree from the Pedro Henríquez Ureña National University [UNPHU] in Santo Domingo. For the next 10 years, she worked on the design and construction of a variety of projects. Combined with her most demanding and rewarding purpose, being the mother of Lidia and Luis Viyella León.
